Le fort de Fermont (6kms)

One of the biggest fort of the Maginot Line

Fermont, it's a two-hour journey discovering a genuine artillery fort with its equipment and understanding the underground organization.

 

In front of the entrance, there is a 1000m² museum presenting an exceptional collection of fortress and campaign materials.

City built with the help of Vauban. Longwy is one of the main sites inspired by the plans of Vauban listed on UNESCO world heritage.
